The scores for science and math count most toward acceptance into the nursing program. The hardest part was definitely doing all of that math without a calculator. One of the problems was to find the mean value of a data set with 25 numbers, all of which were in the ten-thousands. So that was annoying.
Some of the science questions were pretty random too. I have no idea how my knowledge of plate tectonics, igneous rock formation, and science Nobel prize winners serves as a reliable indicator of my ability to succeed in a nursing program.

...so you know which nobel peace prize winner can help you predict an earthquake so you can prepare your patients for the next big one...and then in all of this, you can hide under a big rock...or throw a small one at eddy with your left hand

The most math I've done in my nursing career is to calculate doses of meds based on weight (kg), change kgs to lbs, & BSA for chemo drugs...I dont see what the mean value of a data set with 25 numbers has to do with nursing either. Maybe they are preparing you for the one moment in time when you will have a math professor for a patient & asks you to solve that problem to test to see if you are REALLY a nurse. The rest of the science questions-no comment. But I do hope you get in-of course you will-you are MY CUZIN-nursing in probably in our jeans :)
